The FPW Racing Team have been testing in Cartagena and Jerez recently and made the trip to the opening round of the Moto3 Junior World Championship whilst on the Iberian peninsular.
The team have acquired a new KTM 2018 bike and have had limited time to try it out, so used the CEV event as valuable testing time. The weather was poor with strong winds and heavy showers intermingled with some bright sunny spells.
Paasch went out in qualifying on a full wet set up but switched later as the track began to dry out. By the end of the session he was on a full dry set up but with time running out he only managed a few quick laps and qualified 25th for the race.
Despite his grid position Paasch made the best of it, working his was up to 16th place before a faulty throttle sensor put an end to his race and a potential points scoring finish.
Paasch and the FPW Racing team will next be out on track at the first Hel Performance British Motostar round at Oulton Park.
