Scott Ogden did the double at Brands Hatch in the Hel Performance British Motostar standard class championship this afternoon. Once again he got away well and was racing with Jamie David on a GP machine. Behind him, Cameron Horsman was unable to match the pace of the number 19 and collected another second place. Completing the podium was Franco Bourne who achieved his first Moto3 podium.

Whilst Ogden managed to extend his lead at the front of the race, lap after lap, Horsman had to contend with a number of other standard class riders who were keen not to make life easy for the Londoner. Charlie Farrer suffered a mechanical issue on the first lap so was unable to threaten for a podium in race two. Nonetheless, Rhys Irwin, Harvey Claridge and Franco Bourne made sure that Horsman had to work for his second place.

Ogden crossed the finish line over 25 seconds ahead of Cameron Horsman in second. Franco Bourne was less than two-tenths of a second behind the number 72 of Horsman to take third place. Rhys Irwin finished four seconds further back.

Jeremy Knight took fifth place whilst Abbz Thomas fought off the pain of her damaged finger to finish in sixth. Thomas under pressure from Corey Tinker and Ross Maguire as the three finished within less than half a second of each other.

Ash Barnes of Four Anjels Racing finished with a tenth place and six points to add to the four he took in race one.

After four races Ogden has 95 points to the 85 of Horsman in second. Franco Bourne is third on 51 points after his podium finish today. Just one point behind is Rhys Irwin on 50 with Charlie Farrer on 48 and fifth, after he failed to finish race 2. Jeremy Knight picked up his second points scoring finish of the season and with it now lies 11th in the standings.
