After the two free practice sessions on day one of riound two of the British Talent Cup, Cameron Horsman topped the timesheet with a lap of 1:15.109. 0.220 seconds behind was Charlie Farrer who squeezed out Scott Ogden into third place (1:15.406)
Fenton Seabright finished the day fourth fastest with Jack Nixon completing the top five. Nixon is still suffer some of the affects of his big crash at Oulton Park in the Hel Performance British Motostar Championship. Charlie Atkins had ended FP1 just 0.009 seconds behind Ogden but was unable to improve on his lap time in the second session. He finished Friday in sixth overall.
Some fo the big improvers over the course of the day were Eddie O‘shea, Osian Jones and George Hopper. The number 8 O’Shea slashed 2.64 seconds off his time to move from 17th position to 10th by the close of play. Osian Jones, number 5, moved up four positions to fourteenth as he cut 2.4 seconds of his lap time and George Hopper trimmed a healthy 2.57 seconds from his FP1 time.
Jamie Lyons had a fall in FP1 but came back to cut his lap time from 1:19.241 to 1:17.131 to finish 16th.
The 22 rider field will be out onto the Donington National circuit again tomorrow at 09:00 sharp for their 30 minute qualifying session. This will decide the grid for both races over the weekend. The first of which will be at 13:45 on the Saturday.
